Prize values are the amount stated on the competition's own entry page where one is given. Where none is given we estimate it from the prize description, and those estimates are included in the totals and averages above. Treat prize value figures as indicative rather than audited.
Competitions where the number of winners is not stated are counted as awarding one prize, so the total number of prizes is a conservative floor rather than a ceiling.
